Title: ShmooCon 2007
Post by: don on August 12, 2006, 02:32:47 PM
ShmooCon is an annual East coast hacker convention hell-bent on offering an interesting atmosphere for demonstrating technology exploitation, inventive software & hardware solutions, and open discussions of critical infosec issues. Over three days, there are three tracks: Break It! (http://www.shmoocon.org/#breakit), Build It! (http://www.shmoocon.org/#buildit), and BoF It! (http://www.shmoocon.org/#bofit).

Whether it's thinking about the future, outside the box, where your freedom has run off to, or rethinking that uber-secure architecture you paid $5m that is just smoke and mirrors. It is time you contributed some CPU cycles to your own cause and future existence. This is what ShmooCon is all about.

Hi All,

Well it's official. We're happy to announce that EH-Net is sponsoring ShmooCon (http://www.shmoocon.org/sponsors-all.cgi)!  8)

As we try to get the word out about our free online magazine and our highly educational forums and challenges, EH-Net will sponsor multiple hacker cons this year. Look for posts for each individual con.

As for ShmooCon, we are not only a sponsor, but columnist Chris Gates will also be in attendance covering the event. Look for a review article a week or two after the end of the event.

Be sure to look for Chris and possibly Ed Skoudis, host of our Skillz H@ck1ng Challenge. If other EH-Net members or readers will be in attendance, let us know. Be sure to also share your thoughts.
