Is it hard, now I have kids and family I don’t have the time that I had before to learn like before. Hmmm…I don’t know exactly what am I asking ' maybe I afraid to go to all this over again ( it was hard)…. Thank you. The CEH course content and exam is very different to the CISSP. The CEH is focussed on Hacking and the tools used for Hacking and Hacking methodology. You should find the CEH easier but I believe if you put a lot of time an effort into studying you'll be prepared. There are a lot of posts on EHNET about the CEH exam and recommendations on how to prepare for the exam. Have a look in the CEH board: http://www.ethicalhacker.net/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,54/board,2.0/ as well as the EC Council website's module list which outlines the CEH course content: http://www.eccouncil.org/certification/exam_information/ceh_exam_312-50.aspx Good luck Title: Re: cissp vs ceh Post by: JollyJokker on June 16, 2010, 05:46:19 AM Hi,
C|EH has a more offensive approach. It is supposed to prepare someone on thinking as an attacker and to see what options an attacker nowadays has in terms of attack vectors and tools. CISSP is a wider field, more on the defense and management side. I remember it characterized as "wide as the sea" but "shallow". Meaning that it covers almost everything but does not get much into detail. I highly value both. It is good to know both the offensive as well as the defensive side. Sometimes these two sides have nothing in common. So it is good to familiarize yourself with both. I hope I helped :) Title: Re: cissp vs ceh Post by: don on June 16, 2010, 09:45:14 AM Welcome to the community.
If you put in the same effort on CEH as you did with CISSP, then you'll find the CEH exam to be a breeze. I did mine with a family. It takes more concentration and flexibility, but it can be done. Good luck, Don Title: Re: cissp vs ceh Post by: BillV on June 16, 2010, 02:50:10 PM I agree with the statements from Don above and I was also in a similar situation. Study hard, follow the reviews and objectives, and you'll do fine :)
