Title: WikiLeaks cracks encrypted video Post by: j0rDy on April 08, 2010, 07:02:57 AM As you all might have heard, WikiLeaks cracked a surveillance video coming from an apache mission where innocent civillians and reporters where killed http://wikileaks.org/ (http://wikileaks.org/)
The question remains how did they achieve this? They started out with a request for computer processing power (http://twitter.com/wikileaks/status/7530875613 (http://twitter.com/wikileaks/status/7530875613)) and about two months later they cracked the code. Here some experts about the subject: http://erratasec.blogspot.com/2010/04/how-did-wikileaks-decrypt-video.html (http://erratasec.blogspot.com/2010/04/how-did-wikileaks-decrypt-video.html) http://www.schneier.com/blog/archives/2010/04/cryptography_br.html (http://www.schneier.com/blog/archives/2010/04/cryptography_br.html) This still leaves us guessing on some points...Whats your opinion?
