Title: What are the main differences between Backtrack 3 and Backtrack 4?
Post by: H1t M0nk3y on February 20, 2010, 01:11:35 PM
Hi,

Would some of you know the main differences between these two releases? I have searched on their web site and on google, wikipedia, etc but I just can't find my answer.

I know they went from Slackware to Ubuntu, but other than that, what is new?

Thanks

With this release includes a new kernel, a larger and expanded toolset repository, custom tools that you can only find on BackTrack, and more importantly, fixes to all (well, most..) major bugs that we knew of.

See official changelog (http://www.backtrack-linux.org/development/changelog/).

Thanks, I looked at the forum instead at the blog...

But they didn't seem to make too many changes other than updating all tools and changing the base linux distro.

But thanks, I got my answers.
