Maybe, according to IMDb (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1355626/). The only info I could find so far is that the movie is in development plus the following data: Genre: Thriller Plot Summary: "A computer program called DAEMON learns how to operate without the assistance of human interaction". Writing Credits: Danel Suarez (novel) Casts: Actor: Eli Marienthal (Preston Wright) Producers: Laurie MacDonald (producer) Walter F. Parkes did produce Gladiator. But it's weird because the actor, Eli Marienthal, is in "development" hell, with 37 projects.
Maybe I'll pick up the book. It seems to have good reviews here. :)
