Title: another newb to the slaughter Post by: Volkrisse on August 22, 2009, 08:26:20 PM Hi guys and gals,
I just found this site and am very interested in absorbing everything I can. sorry, my introduction. My name is Peter. I graduated from college last year with a BS in Computer Security and Information Assurance....of course with the tanked economy, trying to find a job in this field is damn near impossible without experience, but no company will give us new grads a chance. So i continue to push forward by absorbing information and trying to get my certs in order. i hope to get to know some of ya and add to this community Title: Re: another newb to the slaughter Post by: don on August 22, 2009, 09:45:53 PM No slaughter here. I'm sure you'll find that the members are very generous... of course, as I have said often, if you bring a little you'll get a lot.
Welcome to EH-Net. Don Title: Re: another newb to the slaughter Post by: Jhaddix on August 22, 2009, 10:06:06 PM Hey Peter,
Welcome! I was the same way about two years ago and after lurking and learning i now have a full time pentesting position. Be tenacious in your learning, ask questions, use the 'search' function and try to contribute anything you can. This community rocks =) Title: Re: another newb to the slaughter Post by: Volkrisse on August 22, 2009, 10:30:28 PM thanks for the warm welcome!

As already said, this is a great place to learn new things and get into what interests you. I am sure you will like this place. Title: Re: another newb to the slaughter Post by: Ketchup on August 23, 2009, 01:32:54 AM This isn't one of those forums where you get slaughtered for being a noob :) I think most of us like contributing and helping out someone who is just getting started. We were all in the same boat at one point. Welcome, good luck, and hopefully we can help you along the way.
