how many years does the CEH cert to be valid before you do recertification???

That's one of the good things; The CEH DOES NOT EXPIRE like Cisco does. Cisco CCNA needs to recertify every three years; Cisco CCIE is only good for two years before it needs to re-certify. The CEH is good for life, but you need to stay on top of the technology. The technology is constantly changing, and need to keep current, so you can be effective.
