I had heard about these on a podcast.
Like you say the reviews are very funny.

I guess this is part of everyday life, and this is a simulation of it.

I can't believe the price of that thing, but if you want to get your kids into it early I suppose this is one toy you could buy...

As far as physical security goes, Jiu-Jitsu is better for my daughters than this "toy"... ;D
