Title: not a fan of CCE

Tried this cert a few months ago and was displeased with it.  I don't like the fact that they don't tell you what you have wrong so you can correct it, instead you just get a grade and are unable to make necessary changes for improvement.

How does this exam work?? Is it like the free practise exam and you make it online from your own home?
Does it also include the practical part, examining evidence and writing a report?

I found the information on the site a bit confusing. Scored 80% on the test, pretty basic stuff.

The multiple guess questions are never very hard on these tests.   My coworker is currently going through a re-certification.  The practical part can be a little involved, but is usually pretty straight forward.   These days you get a floppy image, to keep things simple; you have to solve a theoretical case and provide a report.

Aha it seems to resamble the practise test pretty well. I might give it a try after I completed CHFI. Thanks for the info :)

four parts.... first is simple online exam that you can take twice.  The rest are case scenarios where the images are downloaded and passwords sent to you.  The main point is to see how you write the report and conduct your examination... however, they don't give any guidance or give input on what to correct.
