Title: Hack-able Boot-able CD? Post by: brianW85428 on October 26, 2008, 10:53:30 PM Is there anything like a bottable CD, that you can ether install or boot to practice hacking?
Like a windows disk that has problems wrong with it that you can exploit and then fix? That would be so great. Any other practice hacking advice? Title: Re: Hack-able Boot-able CD? There's always things like BartPE or other ways to boot to a Windows environment, but probably not what you want in a pen testing lab. VMware has some images that include versions of Windows, but with licensing issues, they're not unlimited.
Chan's suggestion is a good one. Brian also makes a good point. Install Windows with no patches especially SP1, and it should be ready to hack immediately after install.
