Post by: leslie on August 05, 2008, 05:52:22 AM
Hi, i am trying to build my own wireless access point scratch....i have googled for it...but most of the tutorial uses linux to build the AP and i am not familiar with linux os. anyone can guide me how to do it?

i have a P4 2.8 cpmputer which is connected to the internet and a PCI wireless card

1)can i use windows to build my ap?
2)what are hardware required?
3)if possible, can you provide me some website for references?

I just wanna build an AP which allows my laptop connect to it and access the internet with the AP, :) thanks

If that's all you need, then try the feature built into Windows, Internet Connection Sharing. Search MS's site for details.
