Title: Exotic Malware ? Post by: shakuni on June 10, 2008, 12:36:44 AM For my Malware Research I need samples of the following two kinds of Malware (description from Peter Szor's book). Please give me the names or samples of any of them,
Quote Octopus An octopus is a sophisticated kind of computer worm that exists as a set of programs on more than one computer on a network. For example, head and tail copies are installed on individual computers that communicate with each other to perform a function. Quote Rabbits Please don't post anything related to "How to write such kind of malware" because it is very easy to implement these kind of malware. What I need to know is that whether they had been actually written or is it just a myth. And if they were written then post the names or samples of any such kind of malware.A rabbit is a special computer worm that exists as a single copy of itself at any point in time as it "jumps around" on networked hosts. Thanks. Title: Re: Exotic Malware ? Post by: geekyone on June 10, 2008, 05:34:37 PM I don't have any samples of these two types of malware but the Offensive Computing Website is a good place to find or request examples. You may already know of this site but if not hopefully it will help you with your research.
