Title: Dive Into Python - Book and Web Site
Post by: don on June 06, 2008, 01:53:57 PM
Cool resource with a free downloadable book. It also has links to many other resources. I haven't gotten too deep into the contents of the site, but it looks very promising for you budding Python coders.

Dive Into Python is a Python book for experienced programmers. You can buy a printed copy, read it online, or download it in a variety of formats. It is also available in multiple languages.

Needless to say, I'm doing a lot of research on Python to share on this new board. I'm also looking into Perl and Lua resources. Stay tuned.

Thanks for the link.  I am finishing up my C+, so this comes just in time.

This same publisher has a very good Perl book as well.  It may be available as a free download by now, but I bought the hard copy a couple of years ago.

Nice to know.  The book is pretty short... the Python one, but then again it didn't cost anything! :P  Free is always a good price for me.  I'm actually about to play around with the software off the earlier thread of 'DIY IDS'.  That should be fun too.
