Title: Welcome to the Coding Board Post by: don on May 27, 2008, 01:19:13 PM Due to member feedback, we have added a Board dedicated to Programming. Regardless of your purpose:
- Exploit dev - Shell coding - Scripting - App dev / WebApp dev Or your chosen language: - C, C++, C# - Perl, PHP, Python - Java and family - SQL and variants This is the place for you. Please offer up coding questions, advice, learning projects or anything else you can think of to help ethical hackers understand the importance of coding and how to advance that portion of their resume. Don PS - As always, offer additional feedback. If a particular topic or language needs it's own dedicated sub-board, we can make that happen. Title: Re: Welcome to the Coding Board Post by: pjayes on May 28, 2008, 09:20:40 AM is there one type of programming that anyone would suggest learning over another one, i am starting to learn c++ and i am trying to teach myself java,
is one better to know then another, and if you learn one is it easy to pick up the other ones. Thanks pjayes Title: Re: Welcome to the Coding Board Post by: Kev on May 28, 2008, 10:32:44 AM Your first coding langauge is c++? You might want to start with something more basic. Java is good. I alwatys recommend for people totaly new to start with html code. Its so easy and you wiill be able to use it in your pentesting career. Then go onto python or perl. I like python myself. Then go onto C. This is a nature progression that works for a lot of people that might not be normaly inclined towards programming.
