Title: Image Security Post by: BillV on December 04, 2007, 08:04:49 AM What's the best option to protect an image on a website? Also considering that the image is not officially copyrighted or such.
At this point, I'm thinking my best option is to place a watermark over the image. Anyone have any other thoughts/suggestions? I would set it so that you can't right click and a watermark over the image.

You can add a watermark to identify you as the owner of rights to use, distribute etc. You can also configure web servers to not serve images where the refering URL is not the same website, many sites use this to prevent hot-linking.
